Mommy's birthday - pt 1

Ge and Grandaddy had the whole family (minus Uncle Reu who had to work) over for chili and birthday cake. They sang "Happy birthday banana" at Ethan's request.

On Mawmaw's bed

Ethan, Levi, Finn, Aunt Annie, Aunt Callie, and Mommy drove down to Lafayette last weekend for a visit to Mawmaw and Poppa's house. The boys fed the chicken, picked oranges, rode the 4 wheeler, and saw a litter of new puppies. Ethan told us he was doing farmwork. Meanwhile, Mommy and the 2 aunts shopped, shopped, and shopped some more. Very fun.

One of my favorite things is to see how much my boys love each other. More often than not, I will find one of them hugging the other in deep sleep. It makes my heart glad.

Ge has the magic touch

Jon, Finn, and I traveled to South Louisiana on New Year's weekend for a friend's wedding. Ge and Grandaddy were nice enough to keep E and Levi while we were away. The weekend turned out to be a great little get-away. I thought the boys might wear Ge out but it looks like the tables were turned...


Now if only I could get that to happen at home!

Puzzles were a huge hit this year.

Poppa made the boys a really cool table for their toy trains. It ended up being so much nicer than the store-bought ones. I think this is one Christmas gift we will treasure forever.
