So glad you're here

Lately, Ethan has been showing his appreciation in the cutest way. He will come up to me several times a day, pat my leg or hug me, and say "I'm so glad you are here". I never coached him on this at all. He just comes up with the sweetest things to say on his own. How could you not love him?

Number 3

As you can see from the due date countdown above, we are expecting a baby in early October. When I asked Ethan if he wanted another brother, he said that he already had one. So, I asked what kind of baby he wanted - boy or girl- and he said "no kind". Thankfully, he's warmed up to the idea now. This baby will be 19 months younger than Levi (E and Levi are 20 months apart) so that works out great in my book. I love seeing how the boys interact with each other...the age difference is small enough to keep them buddies but large enough so I don't go insane. It'll be fun to see them fit the new baby into their playtime.

A study of Ethan

Growing up

Our little guy will be 11 months old next week. Where, oh where, has the time gone? It's been fun to see Levi change day by day. He's on the verge of walking and has his own vocabulary (many might not understand it, but he has "words" for bottle, more, etc). He loves to play with his big brother. No one can make him laugh as hard as Ethan does. They build castles together and roll around on the floor. Levi enjoys splashing during bathtime and trying to catch the water as it flows from the faucet. He is developing a sense of humor as well. Sticking dirty socks in Daddy and Ethan's face is a sure winner.

"Oh no, she's got the camera again!"

I enjoy taking pictures of the boys as they play. But sometimes, I just know my kids are thinking "Okay, mom, whatever". You can see it in their faces.

Say cheese!
